LE PRESIDENT BILL CLINTON COMPREND LA RETICENCE DE KABILA A QUITTER LE POUVOIR ET IL PENSE QUE SES CALCULS SONT ERRONES.

INTERVIEW - VERSION FRANCAISE

CLINTON:            ...

INTERVIEW - VERSION ANGLAISE

CLINTON:            ... I understand the dynamic with president kabila particularly. Obvious unwillingness to leave power.  With all he wants is to cling to his seat. Here is what I think, I think he is banking on Donald Trump to win, his calculations are all wrong you see.

REPORTER:          What is your thought on governor katumbi and Tshisekedi pulling toward the French? Do you believe they are the only alternative?

CLINTON:            Katumbi is a strong alternative, but I really think that long term, we should count with the youth. I met with some this week and I think, the trust we place in Ambassador [Herman] Cohen is well founded. The Pentagon conference in September will offer us some solid alternative.
